Mulaku bajji (Chilli bajji)



It’s an evening snack with amazing taste and i love to eat this on rainy day with cardamom tea. First I tasted this from Ooty road side tea shop during my college tour. That taste still remains in my mind. 


Ingredients

Chilli pepper/ bajji mulaku     :   15

lemon juice                              : 2 tbsp

Besan flour/ gram flour         :   2 cup

Chilli powder                            :   1 tsp

Turmeric powder                    :   1/4 tsp

Onion paste (optional)           :   1tsp
Salt

Oil for deep frying

Preparation

1.  prepare a thick batter of besan flour by mixing chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt along with enough water.(mix and try to avoid lumps)
2.  make a lengthwise cut on chillies and remove the seeds inside
3.  in a bowl mix one cup of water, lemon juice and pinch of salt
4. marinate chillies in lemon water for 15 minute
5.  in a pan heat the oil at medium fire 
6.  dip each chilly in the batter, fill batter inside the chilly also and deep fry until it turns golden colour
7.  serve hot with tea
