Chemmeen undaputtu / Shrimp stuffed steamed rice ball



Ingredients
1 cup prawn cleaned and deveined
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1-    1 ½  tsp chilli powder
salt
2 tbsp oil

2 onion roughly chopped
2-3 garlic chopped (big size)
small piece of ginger chopped
2-3 green chilli chopped
pinch of turmeric powder
½ tsp garam masala
curry leaves
salt to taste
1 cup grated coconut
1 ½ cup rice powder
enough hot water to prepare dough
salt to tate


Preparation

1)     First marinatethe prawn with turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt
2)    After half an hour fry marinated prawn in hot oil.
3)    Use same pan to fry onion (if you need you can bit oil). Add salt and sauté the onion till it become translucent
4)    Then add garlic,ginger and green chilli sauté well
5)    After 2 minutes add turmeric powder, garam masala and salt if need. Mix well and keep in medium flame for 1 minute
6)    Add fried prawn (make small pieces if prawn is big in size). Mix and keep in low flame for 2-3 minute
7)     Finally add curry leaf and turn off te flame. Let it cool
8)    Take rice powder in bowl then add hot water with salt (slowly mix with spoon). Add water till you feel rice powder absorbed enough water to make thick dough
9)    Knead well with your hand till it become smooth
10) Take a small portion of dough in your palm and press it before that you apply some oil in your palm
11)  Then put prepared prawn masal it and make a ball
12) Cover the ball with coconut. Reapeat the same with remaing dough and masala
13) Steam cook the prepared ball/unda for 20-25 minutes

14) Serve hot
